At Mission Possible Austin, safety is always our top priority. 2020 has brought a very unique situation with Covid-19 that has required even more diligence to ensure the safety of our volunteers, kids, and their families. We are closely monitoring this very fluid situation and are in communication with local healthcare workers to stay updated.

We will be following Texas’ health protocols to operate our camps and are frequently checking for any changes or updates to these. The protocols that Texas lists are not an exhaustive list of what we’ll be doing, as there are additional protocols and precautions we will also have in place.

As of right now, we are planning to have camp under these guidelines, as we can’t predict what numbers will look like right before camp. We love our families and volunteers, and will do everything we can to provide a safe camp experience.

Back-up Plan

If we feel hosting camp will pose too great a risk to our families and volunteers, then it will be canceled and ‘Camp Kits’ will be given each day to all the families instead. These Camp Kits will include all the daily bible lessons, crafts, cooking activities, and games that we would’ve done at day camp. Any funds given towards Nikos Camping Ministry will still be used to serve our kids and their families throughout the remainder of the year.

Please continue to join us in praying for our community and perseverance through these difficult and unique situations Covid-19 has brought.
