“Big Fish is here!” kids scream as volunteers walk into the apartment common area with food. Every Thursday night during the school year Mission Possible Austin offers Big Fish Club. Since 1992, we have served children, families, and the street community. We believe it is possible to break the cycle of poverty one life at a time. We do this by making disciples, and offer life skills and education training.

In central east Austin, there are 11+ low-income apartment complexes with an estimated 4,264 adults and 2,132 children! Big Fish Club assembles and sends teams of volunteers to 5 of these apartment communities every week to feed kids, teach the Bible, and build Christ-centered relationships. Big Fish Club provides a large presence in the community, and helps us build quality relationships with families. Almost all of the kids that attend Camp Nikos come from Big Fish Club!

Your partnership and giving matters! Big Fish Club allows us consistent and committed contact with families in the community, opens opportunities to share the hope of Jesus, and allows us opportunities to meet deeper needs of the community. It is more than a kid’s Bible club. Big Fish Club creates community! Your $150 donation sponsors a kid for Big Fish Club for 2 semesters! This covers food, a Bible, curriculum, balls, school supplies, and other logistical needs for the year. In 2018, we were averaging 150-200 kids a week at Big Fish Club, and we are being asked to grow! We are also in need of volunteers on Thursday nights from 6pm-8pm.
