This summer got off to a great start with a week full of fun, lots of memories made, and God moving in every heart at camp this year! Campers got to have fun swimming, ziplining, crafting, and most importantly, learning about Jesus. Our theme this year was Creation: Created for a Purpose, where we talked about how choosing God’s Way for our lives is how we were created to live. Although the week was also full of challenges and low energy at times, God continually filled everyone up to serve, love, and care for one another. It was truly beautiful to see fellow believers come together to show the love of Christ and the hope we have in Him to all attending.
From the oldest camper to the youngest, every heart grew in forgiveness, encouragement towards others, and experiencing God. Many of our campers have attended camp before, and seeing how much they’ve grown and matured over the years is a testament to God’s faithfulness and His continual work in their lives.
One of our new campers, Ra, was also our youngest camper. With him only being six years old, you could’ve assumed he wasn’t going to understand all that we were teaching about Jesus throughout the week. This assumption was proven wrong by anyone who asked him any questions about the lessons. On his way home from camp, he shared that “Jesus” was his favorite part of camp. When asking him more about that, he told us that “There are two hearts–a heart of stone and a heart of flesh. The heart of stone is because of sin; the heart of flesh is God’s heart.” He also shared that “There are two paths; one leads to death and one leads to life.” Ra sharing what he’d learned at camp, which is exactly what we talked about throughout the week, was a sweet reminder and encouragement to everyone’s hearts that God is moving in everyone, even the youngest campers who might seem like they aren’t paying attention.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His way in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.”   Proverbs 3:5-6

Please join us in praying for all our campers that decided to trust in Jesus this past week! That they would seek God in all that they do, experience Him in real ways, and continue to learn more as they draw near to our Creator and Savior.
