This new program has started and we couldn’t be more excited! Since there are nine children currently enrolled, we get to intentionally pour into each of them every day. The children feel extra special when they come to our Child & Family Center directly after school. We finish homework, play, do cool activities and have fun together! Making slime and cooking have been a big hit, thanks to our awesome volunteers. It has been very encouraging to see how the children interact with each other. It’s not always positive, but being able to show them how to love, encourage, and forgive each other is something they will take with them for the rest of their lives. Two great examples of this are Nehemiah and Xavier, who are pictured to the left!
Cornerstone After-School Program serves elementary-age children Monday-Wednesday during the school year from 3pm-5pm. Volunteers are needed each day!
