6th-12th Grade Ministry
Wednesdays from 6 pm-8 pm
FUZE is a youth program, partnered with Eastside Community Church, developed to build Christ-centered relationships with middle and high school students. The cycles of poverty have left youth in our community at-risk and under-served. Mentors meet each week to develop relationships, mentor young men and women, and find ways to equip and empower youth through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Leaders are asked to model a lifestyle committed to Christ and engage with their students in a life on life relationship. Together, we believe we can break the cycle of poverty one life at a time.
A Night at Fuze
Fuze meets Wednesday nights from 6 pm-8 pm. We eat dinner, play games, have a short Bible lesson, and end with some small group discussion and prayer. We have FUZE Leaders facilitate discussion based on the message, and lead the small groups. Through these interactions we are able to grow deeper in the Word and build Christ-centered relationships. Our goal is to make disciples who make disciples.
- Fuze Mentor: Fuze mentors are paired up with a Fuze Student for 2 years. We ask each mentor spend 1 hour a week minimum with their student, take them to church, and interact with their family. Mentorship is a great way to model the Gospel of Jesus Christ through action. To be a Fuze mentor please complete the Volunteer application or email Jessica@mpaustin.org.
- Fuze Leader: Fuze Leaders are similar to mentors, but their focus is more on the Thursday night program. We ask the leaders attend the Thursday night program, lead and/or facilitate discussion, and help serve the meals. This is a 1 year commitment(2 School Semesters). We break for the summer.
