Hesed (Hebrew) means: God’s enduring mercy combined with His loving kindness. Hesed corresponds to God’s unchangingnature and His ruirements for us. The Hesed character of God is displayed on the vertical plane to us and when it intersects with the human horizontal plane, lives are
transformed. Our lives are infused with the Hesed character we experience from God, creating new relationships with those around us as His mercy and lovingkindness pour through us. Hesed is the radical hospitatlity that is exemplified in compassion, motivated by justice, mercy and humility (with loving kindness) also found in Micah 6:8.
We are excited to announce that the Hesed Homes at Mission: Possible! Austin are finished and staffed! Many individuals gave sacrificially to make this a reality. What a praise and testimony to God’s provision! These homes are occupied by committed Christ-followers, living on mission practicing biblical hospitatlity. The living space is specifically designed to provide care for children and their families who find themselves in crisis situations. We believe that the Body of Christ is spiritually gifted and equipped to minister to families in crisis. In doing so, we are truly caring for the orphan and the widow. The Scriptures encourage us to make room in our busy, well protected lives to minister to others and help a stranger… this is our goal with the Hesed Homes; this is Kingdom work!
*Hesed: the consistent, ever-faithful, relentless, constantlypursuing, lavish, extravagant, unrestrained, furious love of our Father God!
