The cycle of generational poverty means at least three generations or more have been poor. Good and positive programs will have limited effectiveness as long as children return to the broken family unit environment. Mission Possible Austin cares for people in the inner-city by connecting and equipping the Body of Christ to make relational investments through solutions-based programs. Listed below are a few ways we are able to provide educational and life skill training while making disciples. All kid’s ages are from 6 to 18.
Big Fish Club is a weekly Bible club for elementary age kids where an average night consists of dinner, a Bible lesson, songs, and games. Ages: 6 – 11
FUZE is a youth program that is developed to build Christ-centered relationships with middle and high school students. Ages: 12 – 18
Nikos Camp provides a weekend retreat that builds Christ-centered relationships around a series of fun outdoor activities. Ages: 6 – 18
Cornerstone Tutoring is a low-commitment, high-impact program that greatly influences our children and teaches them how to love in Godly ways. Ages: 6 – 11
The Restoration Art Center (RAC) is a program designed to build relationships with at-risk children, youth, and limited English-Speaking women. Ages: 6 – 11
Tree of Lights Christmas Store provides families in our community the opportunity to shop for new toys at 80% off the retail price (parents pay 20%). This is an annual event for the families in our programs.
Lifeline Pregnancy Resource Center offers free pregnancy tests, parenting and life skills classes, and a boutique with material goods for you and your baby, all while building relationships with clients for support.
