Our Elementary-Aged Children’s Program in East Austin
In East Austin, children face an uphill battle against poverty and the challenges it brings from the day they’re born
Love working with kids and seeing the fruits of your labor grow over time? Sign up to be a Big Fish Club Leader! Leaders keep Big Fish Club running and ensure success.
As a Leader, you’ll build vital relationships with children in the community.
You’ll lead games, activities, and lessons. Leaders also set up Big Fish Club each evening and pack everything up when it’s finished.
Interested in building a deeper relationship with one of the kids? Consider mentoring through Big Fish Club!
Big Fish Club Mentor roles are a big commitment. You’ll take on one child from your Big Fish Club Community and work with them directly for a minimum of two years.
You’ll devote an hour of time each week to your Big Fish Club Mentee. Big Fish Club Mentors work with MP staff and the child’s family to best meet their unique needs.
Not able to commit your time? No problem. Mission Possible Austin always needs resources.
During an average school year, we feed up to 200 kids with healthy meals each week. On average, this amounts to about $400 per month. Help us feed our Big Fish Club Kids with a cash donation or gift cards from HEB or Sam’s Club.
Big Fish Club always needs supplies to fuel our activities. Jump ropes, sports balls, pumps, ball needles, school supplies, and children’s Bibles are just a few of the things we need regularly.
