Nikos Camping Ministry
Overnight camps and retreats for youth in our weekly programming.
86% of homes throughout East Austin are classified as low- or moderate-income. In many cases, teens must take on jobs and adult responsibilities to help make ends meet.
Camp Nikos in Austin provides a place for kids to just be kids.
They can engage in fun activities like canoeing, ziplining, crafting, and swimming while enriching their relationship with God and each other.
Research shows afterschool enrichment with clubs and camps can help kids improve their grades while reducing their risk of following dangerous paths.
Children and teens from Austin’s under-resourced communities have a safe place at Camp Nikos. We have something for everyone! Our camps focus on building Christ-centered relationships for kids ages 6 to 18.
Camp Nikos in Austin: Fun for Youth of All Ages
Mission Possible uses a one-on-one approach between campers and counselors. Counselors build deep relationships with campers while sharing truth, developing character, and having fun!
We’re happy to offer five different camps throughout the year for kids and teens of all age groups.

Mission Possible is so loving and caring. They are with you through the good times and the bad. I love Camp Nikos. It teaches me more about Jesus and helps me show the kids why they are here.” ~ Tyte

Camp Nikos for Ages 13-18
Mission Possible offers two Camp Nikos sessions for teens: one in the summer and another in the fall.
Camp Nikos for teens focuses on building deeper discipleship and leadership skills.
During our summer, teens stay in the Texas Hill Country where they can enjoy the beauty of Texas while building closer relationships with Christ and each other.
Meanwhile, fall campers experience a weekend retreat in one of Austin’s surrounding parks at our FUZE fall retreat.
The goal is to prepare teens for a successful life beyond Mission Possible. Many of our teenagers go on to fill leadership roles at MP as volunteers and camp counselors themselves!
Parent FAQs
How much does the program cost?
All of Mission Possible Austin camps are free for children. Every child attending camp is sponsored by someone else.
How are children selected for camp?
Due to limited space at our camps, every child in our program is NOT guaranteed a spot at camp. Camp attendance depends on behavior, program attendance, age/grade, and sponsorship from our staff.
Should I be concerned about lice?
Lice checks will take place at the check-in. If your child has lice, they may be sent home and not able to attend this camp. We ebcourage your child be checked and treated for lice before checking-in.
Can I pack medication for my child?
Any medication sent to the camp has to be in its original container. This is a legal requirement and will be enforced. Medication is collected by the camp nurse and distributed at camp. All prescribed medication will be counted and verified by the camp nurse upon check-in.
Do you have Lost and Found?
Mission Possible Austin is NOT responsible for lost items. If your child loses an item at camp you can contact Mission Possible Austin staff to see if the items were found.
