B.A.G.S. ~ Bringing Assistance through Grace & Service
BAGS is a vital ministry here at Mission Possible that meets client’s physical needs along with spiritual. BAGS is a ministry where we collect food and faithful volunteers distribute it to eligible individuals and families all across the 78702 zip code. We offer prayer and pursue a relationship with everyone in order to connect them with the programs around Mission Possible and other resources.
One of our current BAGS clients, Laura, is a single mom with her teenage son living just a few blocks away from our building at 12th & Chicon. She relies on the food given to her through our food pantry to provide for her and her son on a monthly basis. This is the first time she feels safe in her words. Coming from an abusive relationship and working hard as a single mother can be very challenging. However, there is also great opportunity. God is doing a great work in this household, and bringing them together closer as a family and getting the community involved. Mission Possible being able to provide not only the physical necessity of food for our neighbors, but also relationships and support to walk alongside them during life’s challenges is beautiful and an honor.
Please continue to pray for Laura, and all our BAGS clients, that God would continue to bless them, guide them and protect them this season. Along with prayer, another real need that many of our BAGS clients have right now are fans to help cool their home.
