Perspective Shifts
We are so thankful for how God moved at our Spring Camp Nikos that took place this past spring break! Not only were our campers impacted, but volunteers as well. One example of this is how God worked through the perspectives of one of our counselors…
How situations and circumstances are handled, viewed, and communicated by everyone is important when working with others, and this was no different at our past Spring Camp Nikos! Camp can be overwhelming and hard at times, so our perspective really matters. Our campsite facility is rather large for our spring break camp, so it can be a long walk between activities. During our camp debrief, one of our counselors shared how he shifted his perspective about the long walks. Instead of complaining about them, he praised God for the extra time to have conversations with the campers. Once campers get to activities, their attention and excitement goes elsewhere, so this walking time allowed for lots of opportunities for meaningful discussions to build deeper relationships with our campers and talk more about God. Having positive attitudes and outlooks like these help us make the best of every situation and create a Christ-centered culture at our camps!
