“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”

Philippians 4:6-7

As you have probably been bombarded with news on COVID-19 (aka the coronavirus), we have been having internal discussions about our levels of response. We believe in times of mass and rapid communication it is important to slow down, pray, and weigh all of the facts. We love our community, and we want to make the best decision possible; not from a place of fear or reaction, but with the wisdom and discernment. We ask all of you to continue taking preventative measures as listed by the CDC and public health officials. We encourage you to pray, use wisdom and discernment, and trust God during these times of assumed panic.

We believe the best preventative measures we can take at this time is to cancel ALL Mission Possible Austin programs and activities until April 5th 2020 pending news on the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak. Our programs being cancelled until April 5th includes:

  • Spring Camp Nikos
  • Church Under the Bridge
  • Lifeline Pregnancy Resource Center
  • Children and Family Programs (Big Fish Club, Fuze, tutoring etc)
  • Restoration Art Center
  • B.A.G.S. Grocery Delivery

We are not holding services for church under the bridge, but we are committing to still be present under the bridge from 10am-12pm to keep our ministry presence. We believe God can use us as the body of Christ in situations like these to live out the gospel in real ways. Our staff and leadership is monitoring and in ongoing discussions at this time.  Let us commit to prayer together for healing and wisdom for those affected.

Thank you for your ongoing support and prayers in this time of need.
